What does the word
SMS actually mean

Short Message Service.
It is a standard feature of the GSM protocol (used by most mobile
carriers worldwide), and allows you to send 160 character messages
to mobile phones.

Our 1609SMS module gives you
most of the time the options you need.
Within the
SMS module you will find detailed information regarding all options
and possibilities.
Since we offer an SMS Gateway
API, you can link your application with our SMS server and use your
own (written) applications.
We offer integration either
via GET or POST variables to send messages over Url.
This is a complete and slick
interface with all features such as HttP Get & Post,
API, delayed delivery and personalization. It is also possible to
use an existing or new Virtual Number, link this to our gateway
thereby enabling you to receive incoming messages, and create
automated responses. Our advice:

How long
will my credits be valid?
SMS credits are valid for a period of 1 year from the
date of purchase. We of course have no problem
if you need some extra time to use them.

do i collect additional phone numbers ?
Under "additional features" in the SMS console you
can
generate an
HTML-form for your website. You can choose
the appropriate input fields, thereby building a
customer base of mobile numbers. It is also
possible to notify registrators and
reservators automatically via response SMS.

How much do you charge for your services ?
You can use our system (module
and/or gateway) without additional cost. You only
pay for the text messages you use. The starting
price is ± 0.10 €uro / sms
and ( when you send over 100,000 messages per month), the price depends on
the amount you purchase.

Is there a minimum number of
messages I have to send per month ?
No, there are no minimum quantities to
the messages you send. You only pay for the ammount
of messages you send.

I forgot / lost my password, do i have
to apply again ?
Yes, you can retrieve your password.
Beneath the login screen you can find this
option. Please fill in your email address and
your password will be sent to you by email.

How long does it take a
message to arrive?
The average delivery time (offered to number) of our
service is within 5 seconds.

would like to use 1609SMS professionaly. Do I
receive an invoice ?
Of course, you will receive an email
after your payment of the invoice, which can be
downloaded in
PDF-format
.
The invoice also can be found in
the "order history" for credits,
inside the sms module.

Whet is the maximum length
of an SMS Message ?
SMS messages can contain
up to
459 characters. You pay however per 160
characters, the standard level of characters per
sms. We also offer long sms services,
(3 x 160, minus 3 times the number of
characters for 'longsms')
.
You can immediately see the number of remaining
characters when you type a message in the SMS
module.

Sometimes the activation-email ends up inside
your spambox. If this is the case please contact

I use a company sender name instead of a mobile
phone number ?
That is no problem. When you use 1609SMS service
commercially, we can imagine that you prefer
your company name over a mobile number.
While creating the message, a (random) company
sendername
can be set.

I import names & phonenumbers from a file or
list ?
Sure you can. Inside the SMS Module via
"additional features" , you can quickly import
databases in the system. You
can also import / convert Csv.
files.

How can I send messages
using the 1609SMS service ?
There are three methodes
we support;
1. Via
the SMS Module, web based, login to your account
and start sending immediately,
or do you want to connect our SMS Service to
your applications and databases... ? 2. Create a
link to our
SMS Gateway. ( HTTP Get Post / Send request / API ) 3.
It is also possible to notify received registrations and reservations by respons sms.

you add additional text to my messages ?
Some companies add a short
message to the text you sent.
This affects your 160 characters. We add nothing to
your messages.

How many mobile number can I reach in 1 'batch'
?
You can sent unlimited
numbers ( up to 50.000 ) in 1 'batch'.

messages abroad ?
Sure. We
provide coverage to 700 networks in over 220
different countries worldwide.

Does 1609SMS use my numbers or are they being
used by other parties ?
We treasure your privacy
highly. All messages and numbers
you send will never be used by other parties.

credits are low ?
Yes. You can set a
critical level, and then you will
receive a notification when your credit's have
almost been consumed.

What is the from-id / can
i set a specific number ?
The number or name, you send
your text messages from, can be individually
programmed.
This could be your
Company name
or a Mobile Virtual Number, so you have the option of
receiving text messages back. All you need to do is save
you Company name in the sms module. Linking
mobile virtual numbers to your account are

In
what format should I enter mobile numbers ?
Just in International
format, so for a international number you put
the '44' or '49'.
Example; 44xxxxxxxxx or 49701xxxxxxx.
There should be no gap, space or symbol
between the numbers.

e-mail or billing address have changed, how can
i make alterations ?
You log into the system (sms-module) and make
changes to your account details. The username cannnot
be changed yourself. If you
want to change the username send us an email at
